Hy-Tech Auto & Smog is Hiring an Automotive Alignment Technician Near Truckee, CA

Hy-Tech Automotive and Smog is looking for an experience and skilled Alignment Technician. As a company committed to community and culture, we have a verity of employee incentives like team lunches and outside activities. We are hoping to find a candidate who is committed to a positive work environment and great communication within a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform precise wheel alignments according to manufacturer specifications, including camber, caster, and toe adjustments.
  • Conduct thorough pre-alignment inspections, including checking tire pressures, tread wear, and suspension components for damage or wear.
  • Use alignment machines and tools effectively, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and maintained according to the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Interpret and apply information from technical manuals and computerized equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to industry safety standards and company policies.
  • Continuously update skills and knowledge, attending training sessions and workshops to stay abreast of new alignment techniques and technologies.
  • Assist in other areas of vehicle repair and maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Alignment Technician or similar role in automotive service.
  • Strong understanding of automotive suspension systems and wheel alignment fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in using alignment machines and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical positions and environments.
  • Ability to multitask and work as a team is a must
  • Set goals, develop skills and constantly increase efficiency skill level
  • Diagnostic experience and ASE certifications are a plus but not required
  • Valid driver’s license.
